I need some 14oz back in my life, it’s such a great denim. I’ll probably grab a pair of 777S-142’s next spring.

So know the 555 & 777 cuts well.  10 years ago my butt used to be ok with 666's. Not any more, between working out gave me a bigger back-side, the slim 666 cut doesn't work anymore, the 555, 777, and one 888 have found my legs the most in a size 38. My only 777 is a 25 oz I got 3 years ago just as I changed my workout routine.  They still fit, as a 38, but not as loose as they used to….but by casually perusing Correlection out of AU, I found the last pair of 40's in these the old 14oz 777 cut super-super cheap.  I've never bought a 40, but they aren't that far off from my ideal measurements...im okay with a lil loose...

Jeans are en route, thanks to this pandemic, everything takes a long time to get places.  While waiting i see that there were multiple releases of this jean and the sizing came out different but 40's weren't released in the 1st issue... Is that true?  Are the 40s i purchased the measurements as-listed?  I know this is an old topic, im just wondering...

Excited for something new, I've been wearing the heck out of my 21oz 555's lately.

I'm not sure if we released 40's in the first release, stuff like that gets lost in the mists….I don't know what the measurements of your jeans will be, all jean tag sizes vary around a median, we publish what are effectively median figures.

Thanks Giles… Either way, they'll fit. Its just a matter of how loose they are... kinda an experiment in sizing from that perspective. The lightest weight that I've had were 666sii which were my "summer" weight.  Yeah, they doidt breathe all that well in retrospect, but it was fun.

Going to give this pair the business and see how they react.
