Only one pair of 34's on the restock?  Is that right?

            Hi

I own the 555 in both 21 and oz and 17 oz and I am really interested in the 777. How is this model compared to the 555 when it comes to size? The 777 has a lower rise so how does this affect the waist size I should go for. Anyone that own both models that could give me some insight?

            Thanks

I don’t own both but I have lots of experience with the 555 and have tried on the 777 a few times. While the 777 has a lower rise and this can affect where it sits on the body, I wouldn’t say the difference is huge. It depends on you’re body shape. You could allow maybe half an inch, but I wouldn’t go a full size up.

That being said it all comes down to measurements for the specific model/iteration/pair. Use the Compare function in the webshop to get an idea of how the 777 iterations are compared your IH-555-01/IH-555N baselines. It maybe that the same tagsize comes up half an inch bigger already.

I have both 555 and 777 and while my 777s fit just fine,And look good on me,my 555s are just more comfortable/easier for me to wear. I attribute this to the lower rise of the 777s. On my most recent pair of 777s I asked for the pair in my tag size that had the highest rise and that definitely helped. Hope this helps you.

I live in Florida and, as I'm sure you know, it gets fucking hot here in the summers… I wear denim year round, so I was definitely a bit wary of ordering 21oz jeans. But, from what I understand, the Iron Heart 21oz is their most breathable denim so I decided to pull the trigger.

I'm a small guy, 5'6" 120lbs and my waist measures just slightly above the 26" mark... I ordered the 26 in a 33" length so that I have room to cuff. I have a few pairs of Red Wings, but I mainly wear sneakers (Adidas UltraBoost mostly)... I was looking for a tapered, super slim cut... these should fit the bill perfectly! Stoked.

Oooh… sticky heat too. They certainly do breath well so that should help. I always remind myself about the SE Asian guys wearing UHR and 25oz denim when thinking about heavy denim and warm weather, and that makes me suck it up. But then again I live in northern Norway [emoji1]

Just keep in mind that the fabric can stretch (a lot) and if you want to play it safe wear a belt so they won't end up being too big in the waist. The 21 oz is the perfect first step into the real denim world, Congrats!

Yeah, unfortunately the 26 is the smallest size offered by pretty much anyone without going with something bespoke. I know PBJ has an unsanforized 27 in their xx-013 cut, which I may end up picking up if these don't work out… but I was very happy to see that Iron Heart offers their denim in my size, so let's hope these 777s do work out.

Out of all the raw denim I've owned, I've never had anything stretch too much and that's probably because I generally wear a belt with my denim. Recently I've picked up a belt that has some stretch to it, which I will probably retire for a new veg tanned belt from Tanner Goods.

My only other pair of Selvedge Jeans have been Levi 511 and these are by far the more comfortable from the first wear, even though the heft of the Iron Hearts is on another planet. Looking forward to being clad in these all through the UK Autumn/Winter.

The fits spot on for me. Comparing them to the 511's which are also a lowish rise, I would say I have more room in these. That could be down to the 511's being a much tighter fit to start with and it took a long time for them to stretch out. Ended up wearing them without a belt and they eventually became fairly comfortable.

The 777S-21 were tight but not too tight from the first wear. Now the waist is perfect and the top block is breaking in nicely. The thigh measurement was always my biggest worry and the reason my the 555-01 weren't really an option for me, but that's perfect too.

All in all couldn't be happier.

Yeah, for a long time they were out of stock in the size I wanted so I had plenty of thinking and reading (research) time. Quickly became apparent that 555-01's just weren't for me, which was a shame as I love the look of them on other forum members.  Sometimes you just have to admit that you're just not built for some cuts. Plenty of Iron Heart choice though, so something for everyone I think.

I received my pair of IH-77S-21 this morning and it turns out they fit perfect. I could barely button the top button and they feel great once I can actually get them on. Great pair of jeans. Now to send them back to IH in the UK for a proper hem! I've attached a few fit pics and will take a few more once I get the hem service.
