I do disagree with the slippers, sneakers, wholecuts, flat welts, and some of the outsole choices. But they still make sexy service boots when they stick to what they do best.

Unpop…..I bought two tees and a jacket from Supreme....and i’m not even a little embarrassed. Box logo baby

I quite like the Viberg Slippers. Not so keen on the Service Boots, and dislike the 2030 last.

But at least way cheaper then VisVim

despite the worlds current state with hypebeasts and all that stuff, Supreme has a super rich history and is a groundbreaking brand.
Folks of a certain age respect Supreme for different reasons then folks born in the 90s and 00. Oh it also might depend on where you lived during formative years with Supreme and a few other older "street wear" brands because so much of it was grass roots and connected with customers in a different kind of way
in another 20 or so years folks will be talking about Iron Heart the same way as far as the way the brand connected with customers in an entirely different way then was the norm and dope product.

it depends on whether you can get supreme at retail price or resell. the markups on resell is ridiculous. on the other hand, visvim, hiroki nakamura shares his ancient techniques such as mud dye, natural dye or aizome dye and what not, on how he constructs his clothes. so i absolutely understand his methods and techniques going into his construction. whether you buy that "belief" or not, visvim is what i feel of a much higher quality than supreme..

Huge agreement with all this.
Way back in the distant past I skated a lot and always identified with that culture. A lot of the designs and imagery that Supreme use have a very nostalgic value for me. Before denim I wore Supreme and other streetwear brands, and it was on a trip to Tokyo in 2004 is where I first got into denim.
Tommy started getting into Supreme and I started looking for vintage pieces for him. I picked up a couple myself from old contacts for him and for me too.

@Megatron1505 do you think you can get a white supreme hoodie at a not so ridiculous price?
-
I’m out in LA in a couple of weeks dude, I can try Mag Park, Round 2 and Riff to see what they have if you like? If you’re talking Box Logo it’s going to be expensive.
-
damn. i just had a look.

You’re looking at $900 to $2000 depending on the year and condition ???

My comment wasn´t that serious, of course VisVim Pieces are way more intersting then a Box Logo Tee but the Pricing is way off nonethless, I once tried on a VisVim Shirt, white front western Style and the back was half white and the other half the US Flag, very very cool design, made in japan but absolute mediocre craftsmanship wise, like Neighborhood or WTAPS but for around 750 Euro not really a catch.
Supreme I think as much as they get reduced to the Box Logo Instagram Fuckboy Hypebeast shite is a really cool Brand. I am an retired Skater
and I really dig the of the Hype Pieces like the Flashy Workwear Style Jackets, Their Boards and special Collabos like the Sigg Boxes or the Independet Axels.

unfortunately, i'm not a skater back in my teenage years, so i'll probably never understand the impact of supreme as a cult brand. i only knew minor brands like vans, etnies or element but not the history behind it.
actually, i also do agree with you regarding visvim prices in the recent years. for example, i've seen their tees go for about 300usd or so and the material on them is as thin as paper. i've look through their collection the past couple of years and i feel like the brand is stagnating at the moment..

wow. i did not expect it to be that much! i think i'll stick with the upcoming UHFs

Can someone explain why supreme is so pricey. Is it the construction quality? Style? I mean I’ve seen a lot of it and it doesn’t strike me as unique just by sight. Someone educate me please.

It is not, if you buy their Stuff from them the Prices are pretty Normal but the Hype makes Items that are sold out on Spot Collectiables with Prices like disscused above. That isn´t a Supreme only Thing, the Off-White Nikes sell for Around 200ish Dollar depending on the Base Model and basicly right after they are sold out on the Nike Page the are Online for 900-1000 Dollars and more, same with the ugly Yeezys
