Maybe some of you Brits noticed a new vegan burger in your local Tesco recently… Vivera, a Dutch company, first sold it exclusively through there... This week they hit the Belgian Carrefour shops... With a nice 2+1 promotion going, I did something I thoroughly dislike doing: shopping... Bought 15 packs, saved a cool 11€.

what's it made out of? Looks interesting.

@Seul I was vegan through the 90s and 2000s. Strict veggie now. The machismo bullshit that you have to put up with from misinformed literal meatheads is unreal. Still, at 6'3" and nearly 16 stone it doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother David Haye either. He is vegan and was heavy weight champion. There are so many high performing vegan athletes now. NHS England and the WHO actually recommend a purely plant based diet now as the best for health.
I am a big fan of the shwarma kebab. Have that at least once a week. Jack fruit is the big new thing on vegan diets. It's incredibly nutritious and needs good seasoning but if you ever see barbeques pulled jack fruit on a menu give it a go.
When all around us are having hearts attacks and dying of colon cancer, I'll raise a glass of kamboucha for them.

If I was living on my own then being veg or vegan would be fairly straight forward.
( Although I admit being a Vegan would be very hard for me since I like those things more than meat )But living with other people it is incredibly difficult.
They want to do 1 shop for all, cook 1 meal for all and so on and so on.Anyway one of my fav dishes is ok for vegetarian or even vegan if there is such a thing as vegan pasta.
Simply boil pasta. And for a sauce use fresh whole sweet tomatoes in a saucepan and heat and stir.
The toms just fall apart from heat. Add garlic, oregano, salt, pepper.
When the pasta is done, drain it and throw it in the sauce and cook till it is a nice consistency.Taste is very good for such a simple basic dish, nothing meat or cheese needed.

Lots of vegan pastas out there
And yeah: am I glad I get to cook for myself…
This is the lasagna I made a couple of days ago... Ricotta and pumpkin... Parmesan cheese and pinenuts on top... Incredibly easy to make...
Clean and cut pumpkin in quarters, toss it in the oven for 25', make tomatosauce (or be lazy and use a jar), start with a layer of sauce, first layer of lasagna, cover in ricotta (mixed with some pepper, seasalt, and water, to make it easier to spread), layer of pumpkin, tomatosauce, and so on... End with ricotta... Sprinkle cheese and pinenuts on that... Pop in the oven, done.
I made my own tomatosauce from scratch, but otherwise this doesn't take longer than two hours (including baking pumpkin and lasagna itself)...
