@Chris yep. There are so many chuck Taylor type influenced shoes available and they are certainly not all made equally. These and my Buzz Ricksons are the most comfortable I have tried, and I've tried a good many.

@Jim you've done again you SoB! Great looking boots and great shots…talking of summer boots, I've got my made to order fitting with Viberg today for a pair of engineer boots...in 28 degree heat...way to go!

31 degrees C outside and I'm having a fitting with Viberg for a pair of engineers boots. Still, they'll be here in 12 weeks so no need to feel obliged to wear them in this heat.

@UnTucked Guy came to Rivet and Hide in London today, there were 30 people who got to have the made to order service. I think they can do it if you email them too.
@neph93 there was only one last available for the engineer, which I am happy with anyway…so I went for the standard black chromexel leather, natural midsole, black leather heal stack rather than the natural stack, straight heal rather than the standard taper, and nickel Japanese roller buckles. Takes about 12 weeks to build apparently. Super excited now for their arrival.
Guy is such a nice bloke. He has a touch of Dave Grohl about him. All in all it was a great experience.

@Jim I wish I could have walked away with them yesterday but being MtO I've got to wait a good while for them to be built. They'll be a unique pair apparently due to my spec requirements. More pics later in the year!

@mikebarhoot I need a pair of these Scarpas. I was really interested in getting a pair of these a while back and that fell by the wayisde but you've relighted that fire in my belly. Damn you!

@Giles is probably the man to answer this but they are a walking/approach shoe and from what i've read very comfy.
