lol yep!  I also remember a scene where he's inside a house that Keanu Reeves is raiding?  IIRC?

Yes!  totally forgot he shoots himself in the foot.  And so there it is, the entirety of Anthony Keidis' acting career.

Tried watching Brawl in Cell Block 99 the other day and couldn't finish it. It's the same guy who directed Bone Tomahawk and stars Vince Vaughn and Don Johnson. It's done in Grindhouse style with cheesy fight choreography and synth music but at over 2 hrs long I had a hard time making it halfway through. Maybe i'll come back to it another time.

I never saw the Tim Curry version or read the book but I was pleasantly surprised by the reboot. Bill Skarsgard's It was well done and super creepy.

Overall I thought it was decent. Without getting too spoilery the story puts more emphasis on Elastigirl (not a bad thing cuz she's pretty badass). With that said, it's over 2 hrs long and halfway through my son started to lose interest, probably because Mr. Incredible wasn't smashing stuff left and right throughout the movie. I was more impressed with the new reclining seats  😃

I saw The Incredibles 2 today, and liked it. Though I agree with @gaseousclay 's son that more Mr Incredible smashing stuff would have been good.

I also caught Upgrade yesterday. It's an Australian film, shot here in Melbourne, though set in an unnamed US city, about a guy whose wife is killed and gets put in a wheelchair when his self-driving car goes to the wrong place. However, he gets fixed up and becomes a fecking ninja. Revenge ensues.

There's a (slightly spoilery) trailer here.

I enjoyed the film. There are some clichés in it, but I did like the hacker character, and I'm glad to see the AI runs on UNIX. 😛

Finally saw Black Panther the other night. It was ok but not as great as the reviews made it out to be. I don't know if it was because it was its own stand alone film or not but it didn't blow me away. I think this is one i'll have to revisit again to see if it grows on me.

Kinda meh. I like mindless cgi drivel every now and again but this was just average. Scott Eastwood bored me to tears and seemed like he was trying to channel some of his dad's acting chops, but missed the mark. You know a movie isn't going to be great when you start looking at your cell phone 5 minutes into it.

"Sorry to Bother You" was fantastic.  Great fun, actors, and writing–I hope Boots Riley keeps making movies.  (And music, for that matter--RIP Pam the Funkstress.)

Wasched the trailer and was like ehhhh. Based on yours and Mr. Den1mheads recc. Ill give it a watch

Went to see Equalizer2. Paid real $ on prime time. Which i rarely do. Was a good movie. Great beginning to middle. Then some yawn moments and good ending.  Should have waited to cheaper time to see it (1st scheduled time on sat or sun).  I’d recommend it though.

I also want to see Equalizer 2. Denzel was so bad ass in the first film. Begs the question, who would win? John Wick or McCall?

We watched MI: Fallout last week. It's very good. Amazing action scenes, and the story is somewhat comprehensible, which is not always the case. Recommended.

Finally got around to watching The Last Jedi.  Way too long and just not interesting.  The humor fell flat, the action wasn't engaging, and I dozed off at least three times, and I never fall asleep in movies.
