Stuart, I think Berlin would be just fine to visit with the smalls but they’re with my wife’s parents. This was a much needed adults only trip.

I have a pair made by them for another brand (not such good value as they are sold at Norwegian prices at a considerably mark up), but the construction is certainly good. I might well go straight to source and get a custom pair one day.

I'd recommend it.  I was able to choose the leather, soles and inner, with the total on-cost being £10 for the leather lining.  They're not pretty, but they'll last forever, especially with WL being able to resole, no doubt pretty cheaply.
