Looks like they came out pretty great to me. Love the Wrangler jackets that they make for then European market.

Had the sleeves shorted on my indigo riders jacket and a Momotaro shirt shortened by Pinnasandneedles in Soho, London. Got recommended them by Rivet and Hide. Excellent workmanship. They shortened and retapered the sleeves and also maintained the chambray lining, gusset zips etc. Cost me £90 to get the sleeves done but certainly money well spent imo as they did an excellent job.

Looks like a very nice job and one which to me seems not too simple. So they removed and shortened the zip as well I assume when they tapered it, well worth it, looks great fit on you

is the top buttonhole functional?  the images look like it's just darning on darning

They must have gotten someone better or that person has grown given the opportunity. I’m glad the pants weren’t a nice pair . It’s been a couple years . I’m over it  🙂  they are good enough to finish them off .

That's what I suspected.  A few years ago I got a horrible repair job done at SENY (I'm not sure if the different SE stores used the same person).  There were balls of hard thread where the darning changed direction and they ripped into my thighs like a cheese grater.  I had to have a patch installed over the darning to make the jeans wearable.

When I was in SENY a few months ago the staff was bragging that they have the best darners.  I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to give them another chance.

I would give them a try….I’m sure the void has been filled . My problem was the patch, but that damm darning didn’t help either  🙂

Would you guys think sewing the button back in would ever work, or it best to patch over the hole and put in a new button?

I think you'll need to patch that, otherwise it will continue to fray.  I'm not an expert, though.
