      @Giles:

      I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, on the plane today.  Loved it…

      The wife and I saw this last weekend when we were kid free. Completely agree @giles a very good film and Oscar worthy. It's the first time we've been to the cinema in about 4 years. Last film watched at the cinema was Dallas Buyers Club, so both very good films.

        I saw Mary and the Witch's Flower today. It's the first film from Studio Ponoc, who're an offshoot or continuation of Studio Ghibli.

        It's got a very Ghibli feel too it, particularly from the visual design. Parts of the movie look like a more surreal version of Hogwarts, albeit with more technology.

        I did enjoy it, though it didn't feel as good as Miyazaki's finest. (But then again, what is?) If you're into Japanese animation, it's worth a look.

        What did amuse me was the English language dub has been done with Northern accents. Normally they're voiced with either American or Received Pronunciation voices.

            Watched Wind River last night. Not bad, passed the time enjoyably. Should really have been called 'massive Carhartt advert' really though.

            Found new documentaries on Amazon prime to watch too. One on Mudhoney the other on the desert rock scene. Both look good.

              Oooo, Mudhoney. I love how they’ve re-invented themselves over the last decade or so, starting with that Sabbath-esque  record  from the start of century, the name of which escapes me now….Because I’m old. So old...

                I hear you. Mudhoney were so good live when I used to see them in the late 80s. Mark Arm is an Ian Mackaye of sorts to me. He is the true Cobain to the older generation.

                              It seemed like they were going for a Titanic In Space vibe, except the ship didn't go down. I like Chris Pratt but man, this film was dreadful.

                                Finally watched Shotcaller, fantastic film.

                                This movie was really kind of kept off the radar it seems as I don't recall it being heavily advertised and I'm not even sure it was in the theaters??  I could be wrong.  Fantastic performance by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones guy for those that don't know).

                                Prison movies can get old IMO but this is so much more than just a prison movie considering the story/theme.  Plus the portions of the movie that do take place while he is locked are done very well and are extremely accurate.  They really did their homework getting the details right and factually accurate.  Supporting actors were great as well.

                                Great flick.
