Finally saw Blade Runner: 2049 and enjoyed it. Kinda long but I like that Denis Villaneuve kept with the theme/look/sound of the original and made it interesting. 2 thumbs up  😎

^agreed, Dunkirk was proper edge-of-the-seat cinema!
On a related theme, saw The Darkest Hour yesterday, which features a mesmerising performance from Gary Oldman, highly recommended!

Maybe this should go under unpopular opinions but I thought Dunkirk was a bit dull for a war movie.  Part of this was probably because it had been so hyped up to me prior to seeing it.  Really enjoyed Blade Runner 2049.

Has anyone seen Hostiles yet?  I haven't gone to a move at a theater since the Revenant but am considering going for this one.

Looking forward to that more than the regular SW movies. I'm not feeling Han Solo's actor, though, but hope for the best.

I feel like Chris Pine would have been a good casting choice but, I guess having him play Kirk and Solo is a bit of a sci-fi faux pas.

I also thought alden ehrenreich was a lot older than he actually is.

I don't know anything about the movie, but from the vibe the trailer gives off, I almost feel like Ehrenreich is too old, too.  Seems more like it should be someone in his early twenties, not his late twenties.  That could just be my misimpression, though.

I was disappointed by Dunkirk too. I felt it didn't do justice to the amazing guts of the English people at that point in the war. It's such a stunning story that, compressed into a movie, people should stand up and clap at the end.

It was on the plane on the way here, but I didnt watch it. I don't think the 4" plane screen would have done it justice.

Saw American Made & All Eyez On Me. One was OK, the other pretty rubbish. I am sure you can work out which is which
