I'm liking Haraki's gradually increasing appreciation of colored weft denim.

To choose which to use for arcs, not the whole jean…..

555 25oz just sounds too painful for me.

If I’m lucky and the measurements come in right I might risk the 555. A 25oz 555 was a personal dream about 2-3 years ago.

I looked at the specs of other 555's and theres no way I could fit my thunder thighs into a pair of those!

Right.  I just received my first pair of 555's a few weeks ago and they do fit me but just barely!  I'm afraid how they will be after the first wash though.  I did soak them for about two hours when I first got them.  They are the old 18oz fabric.

The thighs are definitely tight but what I've found to be more uncomfortable on them is actually the knee measurement.  Super small.  I had to ask for the pair with the largest knee measurement.

The 888s look so good on so many people, I couldn’t wait to try them on, which I did at SENY,and they looked totally stupid on me. So I,for one, am over the moon, ecstatic about these being offered in the 555 cut.

As above 888 look great on some peeps, but I can just see me looking like a 90s raver in a pair.
555 suits me well, and I mised out on the Pronto…..

                                            That's a cotton Kersey (yes, that is a K, not a J)….

Normally made from wool. ours is indigo dyed cotton (probably never been done before)...

_Kersey was a type of cloth widely produced in England from at least the 17th Century, initially in East Anglia around the village of Kersey in Suffolk. By the 18th Century the largest production was in West Yorkshire, particularly in the Keighley area.

Generally, Kersey was a relatively cheap twill cloth made in imitation of the more expensive Broadcloth. The use of a twill weave enabled the finishers to raise a nap on the cloth more easily than Broadcloth, although the cloth had less substance and the finish was consequently slightly less hard wearing._
