This does sound like the cut for you.

SE and IH use different measuring methods which explains the difference. SE measure the thigh from an inch down from the crotch seam, while IH from on the crotch seam. Your most reliable guide will be measuring your jeans the same way as IH (there's a video on the shop site) and then using the the IH measurements on the product page for comparison.

My only other pair measures: 35 waist 12.75” thigh and FR 11.5 BR 14.5. I’m looking for something smaller in the waist and more tapered but not to tight on my thighs.

Our measurements are accurate, but bear in mind there is some variance between different pairs….

@Alex @Giles what’s the planned timeframe for the OD version of these to appear? I’ve seen it mentioned a few times, but they don’t appear to be on the lists of upcoming releases?

Soon.. They were originally due in December, but Japan have closed for a break until early Jan. We should get them in January, along with a restock of the IH-888S

I just received my first pair of Iron Hearts and I couldn't be more happy with them.  I've been getting some of the new "lifter" cuts from various makers recently (Japan Blue High Tapered, N&F Easy Guy) and I must say Iron Heart nailed the cut.  I have perfect fitment for my thighs with a little room to grow, the rise is amazing for the boys downstairs, and the waist actually fits me (no more sizing up for me).  Here's a couple of fit pics:

I was able to pickup a pair of these from NAQP! The cut is amazing! Absolutely love them! Tapered just enough that you can still wear engineer boots with them!!

First day wearing, picked up a pair from Self Edge. Loving the fit so far, works well with my Red Wings that desperately need some care after the last snow storm here. They look good with my sneakers as well… I’ve seen a lot of talk about how this cut might be the perfect cut, and I’m thinking that it might be true.
I’ll try to get some better pictures later.

Black overdye in about 2 weeks.  Superblack, about 10-12 weeks….
