I'm sampling these at the moment:

      Chinos
      Khaki mecerised selvedge Chino
Please make profile from thighs to hem a little slimmer than IH-717
Please include "coin pocket" between right hand side pocket and fly
      Inseam to be 36"

Oooooo….I'm interested.  Will this be a new khaki fabric or one used previously?

I'm wearing my IH-716 today, and I was thinking while getting dressed "A Chino modeled after the IH-888 would be REALLY nice"… Higher rise, more ample thigh, and a narrow hem.

From a quick comparison of the IH-716 and IH-717 and your description ("Please make profile from thighs to hem a little slimmer than IH-717") it's basically the 716 with a slightly higher rise, and an ever so slightly more slim thigh.

We need "juicy thigh" chinos, Bro! lol

          IHV-04, med.
          IHSH-185, large
          IHSH-186, large (khaki, and green)

Wouldn't it be easier to use the existing 711 patterns (with an added coin pocket) or did you envision a complete different beast?

Possibly, but the minimums for dyeing the fabric are massive….

at least an IH-888 based work pant, like the IH-816 is to the IH-666...

Comparing same sizes of the IH-716 and IH-711, the thigh is smaller…

The IH-716 is already a very trim fit on me, so a half inch less makes them un-doable.

888 based work pant with slightly more taper from knee to hem, would be ideal.

??????  Really???  Are you looking at the right chart?  The thighs are actually a tad bigger on the 711's than the 716's.

I've owned both as well, thigh is a bit roomier on my 711's than my 716's.  Guess it doesn't matter either way as these are almost extinct.  😉

Definitely the rise is lower on the IH-711
