Said it before- none of the post-1984 movies matter to me. I'm sure I'll see it eventually, but I'm way more interested in the upcoming Black Panther.

Kinda feel the same way. But I really liked Episode 3, except the 'your name is Luke and Leia' tacked on part. And I really enjoyed this new one too. It was really funny at parts and there were several interesting plot twists I didn't expect.

I saw The Last Jedi today. I quite enjoyed it (and had a free ticket to the IMAX), but the new films feel a bit like a facsimile of the original Star Wars trilogy.
I'd argue that Bladerunner 2049 does a better job of refreshing a franchise, and Logan does the burnt out hero better.
The new Black Panther trailer played before it, and I agree with @Chris that it looks fun.

I'm going on Monday. Now to bury my head in the sand and avoid spoilers until then.
more apt than you could imagine ;).
I disliked it. Too disney, not enough lore/history for me. Not the target audience, didn't expect to like it. I've given up on movies. Thankfully I enjoy reading

Well, I thought The Last Jedi was fun. Being a Star Wars fangirl since toddlerhood, I will basically like anything Disney comes up with, and then want the lunchbox. I laughed, I cried, I got pumped about the space battles, I rolled my eyes about the cheesy stuff–in short, I Star Wars'ed.

Post of the day @sabergirl [emoji1434] I won’t see it until Friday or Saturday when I get to the UK, but that will be my attitude exactly.

I think I've just found my Christmas card for next year. And on the back, it will need to say, "Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho."

Life: 7/10
overall it was decent. It moved a little slow at first but once Calvin started killing everyone it became more interesting. Kinda saw the twist ending coming too. Thought it was cool that the guys who wrote the script for Zombieland and Deadpool are the same guys who wrote the script for Life.

Sorry true believers, I enjoyed the new Star Wars.
Looking forward to watching Bright on Netflix later too
