Red Wing Shoes

Just got these 3140 Chukkas for a steal from eBay.
They‘re a little snug in the front but not entirely uncomfortable. However, maybe 2 mm more and they would be perfect.
Anyone know if I can stretch them slightly e.g. by using a shoe tree?

They’ll stretch quite easily with wear, probably enough for your needs. If the insole is removable you could also take that out in the meantime, then put it back in when the stretch has happened.

When I tried a pair on I was shocked at how light they were compared to my Vibergs.

I’ve found them worse than my 875s for sure, one part on my right ankle was giving me shit but I think I’ve won the battle now.

I think so, the leather is pretty stiff but once I break them in I think they'll be fine.
I wish they had a little more room in the toe box, but I don't think they're too narrow to wear by any means.
They feel so light compared to my Vibergs!

I bought a pair of slightly used Chukkas on eBay two weeks ago.
When I put them on they feel quite snug, especially on the front (toes and outside).
After about 0.5-1 hour of wearing they feel quite comy and not snug anymore.
I have worn them about 10 times since I got them and it's always the same.
Is that normal if they are not fully broken in yet?

Leather will stretch like denim and the stitch down construction will also become more pliable when pressure is applied. It may well be that they weren’t fully broken in when you got them, but they will also break in differently around your feet, than how they broke in around the original owners. So it’s probably a combination of those two things.
