Very stylish @Jett129 , it really suits you. I think a hot wash would sort that long sleeve out. My experience is that IH wabash can be washed at high temps and shrinkage is more marked in vertical measurements than horizontal ones.

I got mine today. Already have the 62-IND and BLK, so this purchase was a no-brainer. Perfect shirt in every way. However, I might send it back to Gosport someday to have the snaps swapped. Not sure yet.

The shirt looks great and a nice, slightly smarter looking alternative to the usual casual look.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger, but am unsure about the snap upgrades.  Is there any specific reason why heavy duty is being suggested, as opposed to normal?  I like the basic turquoise, but don't want to get that if it's somehow inadequate.

Because of the thickness of the fabric, the lightweight snaps won't work as well.
Also, They way that the existing snaps are fitted means you would be left with an unattractive end result I think by downgrading all the hardware

Thanks Alex.  Just to be clear, are the standard snaps on the shirt somehow more robust than the basic snap upgrades?

The reason we use heavy duty on some shirts is the "lightweight" snaps simply do not work on the heavy fabrics (the retaining claws are not long enough)…..............

Thanks again.  Final stupid question - is the snap on the shirt the same as the black heavy upgrade?

^ Very nice fit. How’s the fabric feeling? As stiff as the regular wabash? Looking forward to receiving mine next week.

Thanks @neph93.  It has a similar feel to the 33s, but a bit less stiff than my black Wabash.  I went up a size on this, just to be safe and also because white is more likely to need a hot wash than darker colours.

That last point was sensible. I didn’t but now I wonder if I should’ve [emoji1] Really excited about mine as I love wabash, and have pimped this with heavy duty snaps for the first time.

I would have heavy pimped any other 62 or 33, but I plan to also use this for less obviously casual wear, so stuck with the plain black snaps.  It'll be interesting to see your upgrade.

My plan is the exact opposite of yours. I have a couple of very nice white IH shirts (the 67 and the 119) that only get worn a few times a year, because they are white and semi smart. I want to wear the living shit out of this one, so I went pimptastic on it.

Ha, @neph93, I didn't mean I'd just wear it on smart occasions.  It'll definitely be mostly casual, like down the pub watching bands this weekend, but l'll also wear it to work tomorrow for dress down day and restaurants etc.

I think this'll be really flexible and right away I prefer it to my black wabash.  If you saw my pic with the 02-DD, that combo reminds me of Status Quo circa 1973, which has a nice nostalgic vibe.

Which snaps did you go for?

Sorry, misunderstood, but hell yes, a bit of white wabash is classy wherever you are.
