Have to decide whether to get a 35 or a 36.

These fit me perfect besides a bit large in the waist in 36: https://www.okayamadenim.com/products/jb0626-high-tapered

That indicates that 35 would be perfect, but it might be a tad bit small in the waist.

I guess I should ask for the size 35 with the largest waist.

So, if the 35 measurements look perfect (pre-shrink) I need to go for a 36? Now I'm confused again

The main shrink will be in the waist, the waist will stretch an inch with wear, so if you can squeeze into a, for example, 34.5'' waist to start with after a soak it will stretch to perfect with a few wears

How much shrink/stretch will one experience in the thigh? The most important requirement for me is a 13,7 inch thigh. Maybe the safest thing for me is to ask for the sized 36 pair with the smallest waist and largest thighs.

This was our shrink test. Please note though that this was machine washed not soaked and spun to try and force the max likely shrinkage out. Spinning is not recommended and your shrinkage will likely be a little less than thus
