What a difference a running back makes!  Adrian Peterson has injected some serious much needed life into this AZ Cardinals offense.  Perfect debut.  With that being said, we made it way too damn close at the end and allowed the Bucs to make a comeback but we got out of their with the win.

Off to London next to face the Rams.

It seems this season, moreso than any I can remember recently, it's all about just keeping your stars healthy.  Some of the biggest names in the league are already done for the season and just today Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone.

The NFL kind of feels like this ravenous cannibal of a sport.  It's basically eating itself with guys consistently getting bigger, faster, and stronger while the rules and protection/equipment are always a few steps behind.

Yes, KC has been alone for a few weeks. Pats won ugly today after disallowing Jets TD. I thought it was a good TD

Same here, it was a TD.  Horrible call by the refs.

I heard someone talking yesterday about the cause of more and more season-ending injuries like ACL tears being a result of the week to week training becoming less and less vigorous.
Franchises are more worried about practice injuries and player safety, but the result is they are less conditioned and big explosive plays during games are creating more issues.

I think Blood and Thunder is right, I think that the NFL players are just getting ridiculously bigger and faster than they ever have been.  Throw that formula into a high contact sport and it's a recipe for injuries.

To add to what @Alex was saying, watch any NFL game and what are 99% of the players doing when they aren't in the game?  Sitting or standing.  Then when it's their time to be on the field they go in, on cold legs, and are required to make quick, explosive movements.  It has always blown my mind to see wide receivers standing around between down sets only to go in and run routes at all out sprints.  Of course you strained a hamstring, you just tried to repeatedly stretch the giant rubber band in the back of your leg after letting it cool down for the past 10 minutes.  For a lot of teams this 'stop and go' style of activity only gets worse as the season progresses and more tired and battered bodies are playing in cooler and cooler temperatures.

That was a big time ass kicking. So much for the best defense in the league. The Pats will have their hands full with Philly.

Felt like Jacksonville played their Super Bowl last week, and after Minnesota’s miracle win they thought they were the team of destiny. Quite often when you do that Destiny punches you in the face. Philly may have played their Super Bowl last night.

@steelworker I tought the same, I´d be at least a little worried to step on the Field against a Team that did such a Massacre the Game before.

Thinking of backing the Eagles for +4.5 on the points spread tonight, any thoughts? My other options were over 48 total points, or Alshon Jeffrey for an anytime touchdown.

All of the Patriots Super Bowls have been pretty close. I can’t imagine Nick Foles has another fairy tale game,I’m almost never ever right about these things. Unless you have a really strong opinion and would feel bad if you were right and didn’t get paid. I’d keep my money in my pocket. The initial betting was on the Eagles to win without the points, but shifted to the point spread. Good Luck!

Jesus, putting money on the Eagles to win the Superbowl would feel like selling what's left of my soul.

Trying to set that hatred aside, I'm still not sure that's a good bet.  I might put money on the over, though…
