I saw the new BMW R nineT Urban G/S in the local dealership. It's a pretty machine, comfortable to sit on, and reasonably practical. Bike EXIF have a review.

You either need a body and lens that can focus continuously to keep up with action, or you have to set your lens for the distance/spot you want to photograph them at to get sharp photos. I have been doing action photos for 13 years at least, so I have learned the hard way mostly with getting proper action photos that are pin sharp.

I usually shoot wide open unless the light is generous and soft, then I'll go up to f5 maybe while still keeping at least 400 shutter. Also love I can shoot to 12500 iso without a worry with too much noise. 1D X MarkII FTW!

I'm not normally a big fan of the Motor Co., but I do like the Fat Bob, which is described as being designed to scare zombies!

Yes, whoever came up with the line - "designed to scare zombies" - was trying a little too hard…..All it did was make me wet my knickers, and not through fear....

I'm looking into getting a 'Winter hack' so the 9T doesn't get trashed though the winter months.

The Honda VFR (pre vtec) has been recommended by a mate at work.

                    Does anyone have any recommendations?

                    I don't want to spend a fortune either… £2k max.

Does it have to be fast? Suzuki now makes the VanVan with a 200cc engine. I personally think would make a great winter bike. I had the 125 as my first ever bike and it was insanely fun to ride. Won't be to everyone's tastes though.

I'll get one one day and treat it as a project… Love to have it end up like this!

The Indian Scout is stock, as far as I know. It's a good looking bike, but rather small, so @Jordonf9 might need to look elsewhere if he's as lanky as @Sam and I are. 🙂

Just seen the Ashley Watson Eversholt jacket over at Silodrome.

It's a waxed canvas jacket with a Dyneema lining to provide abrasion resistance; a waterproof and breathable drop liner to keep you dry; and a set of D3O armour. It's also available in navy. Could be good for riding around town.

We've got these in stock. www.foundrymotorcycleshop.co.uk

@harley dave that old school Electra Glide is lovely, but I can understand why you're nervous about the brakes.

I picked up a set of Rizoma Leggera indicators for the Thruxton when I was in the UK. They're tiny, and the rear units also have brake and rear light functions. Plus they have a CE rating, which means they're street legal. Useful when there are over enthusiastic law enforcement officials in these parts. 🙂
