That's what I took from it, as well. Fortunately, it appears as though a couple of retailers picked up this model so, at least you have a couple of options. (For the time being.)

I didn't get a pair because of the thigh. It was smaller than expected for waist size 36. Was this across the board? Or only for some sizes?

I didn't get one from this run because of the thigh as well; I was hoping for a little bit larger.  Hoping the UHR version (non-DWC version) will have a bit larger thigh measurements.

Thighs are ok. These appear tighter then they are, like all heavy denim jeans when you wear them for the very first time. If you wait a couple of hours and then take the first pic, they will appear as baggy as they are!
