Not for me.  I think they would look best laced with the black, but like this:

Three different lacing styles . . . I will experiment with this ^^^ style of lacing with black cotton laces

I like the brown/black contrast with the leather laces, but agree that the ladder style Giles highlights looks best on that style of shoe.

Cheers MM, love this combo too and need to wear it more often but I feel its a warm weather look
