Inspired by Rockets leather kilties added to his Converse, I thought I’d try leather laces in my Moonstars - thoughts ?

Not for me.  I think they would look best laced with the black, but like this:

I like the brown/black contrast with the leather laces, but agree that the ladder style Giles highlights looks best on that style of shoe.

I often stick leather laces in my shoes/boots, but I think the black cotton look perfect as they are this time.

Cheers SH and G, I will pop the cotton laces in and go for the ladder style lacing. However, I will also do the same but with black leather laces as I like the contrast the the leather laces offer from edge to edge.

@den1mhead I have these Moonstar too, love em. I like the black/Brown leather lace combo…but I think round laces might look better. The square cut look slightly scrappy against the clean black shoe lines...there must be a compromise?...you've got me this king now.

The IH jacket and Warehouse shirt is a killer combo though dude

I think girth with round leather laces (as with many things in life) will be key. Now, brown waxed cotton…oooh
