Dam Have to say I am a little underwhelmed. Weren't the last DWC collabs UHR?
After all the talk of trying to get the comp back to basics and trying to bring back some excitement of those first contests I thought we might see a the new cut in a new denim. So as to be able to watch some new denim evolve. Not use up the last of a old one.I realise this post won't be popular and I am
No means trying to piss on your parade @megaHave to say I'm pleased. But I was late to the UHR party and have a poorly fitted pair of BB's in UHR. The denim is "new" to me still and I love it, so a properly fitted pair makes me happy. With the exception of the fact that I now "need" both the 21oz and the UHR 888….

The famous UHR is 21oz pre soak and 23oz post soak. It's also some of the most beautiful denim ever to be made into jeans. It has a slightly lighter indigo hue than most other IH denim, it's hairy, thick, crunchy and fades quick af.

@Megatron1505 @Giles how accurate will the size chart be for pre-order? Since this is a brand new cut, and every model in different denims sews up slightly differently, will you do a sample pair of each size in the UHR to take measurements from?

Probably very inaccurate. Given the timings and the fact that we have not even done a full size run of the IH-888S (21oz version) yet, all we will be able to do is publish target sizing. But like before, committing to buying a pair is not a commitment to buy a particular size, we will obviously want you to make your best sizing guess when ordering, but we will make a a parallel run of none DWC jeans and extra patches so we can juggle things around if sizing does turn out to be significantly different from predicted.

40 will be the largest tagged waist size? if the waist measurement of the new cut is similar to the previous 21/23 uhr then i should be good.

I see whats going on here @Giles…. IH just keeps on dropping awesome denim after awesome denim.... and due to mine and many others FOMO (fear of missing out) and a possible predisposition to addictive behaviors... we just cant stop buying. Brilliant

Ok, let's try this again.
Official contest jeans will be available to order soon, they will be made in the new 888 cut from the UHR 21/23oz Raw Denim. We have named them the "Nama Tako" edition, which is Japanese for "Raw Octopus ", in keeping with the theme of the 888 cut in raw denim.
Size charts will be available prior to order and a sample is inbound. I am personally very excited about these jeans, my favourite cut in the last of my favourite denim, a denim which to me is everything great about this brand.
