IH-461S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Boot Cut Jeans - Indigo

Not sure if this is the right place but it seems it is one of the few places I can make a new post. So I'm pretty dead set on buying a pair of the IH-461S. I dug out my most comfortable pair of Levi's 527 that I own and measured them per the IH provided guide.

Here is what I got:
35" waist (I need a belt to keep the butt from sagging but it's not like they will fall off of me with out one)
11" front rise
14.25" rear rise
12.25" thigh
8.75" knee
9.25" cuff
30.5" inseam

I'm brand new to the world of high quality denim and I'm not sure if I should buy the 34" or 36" IH-461S. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go size 34.  After about a week, the waist and thigh will have stretched a bit...

I bought a pair of regular (non-selvedge) 461 from Japan a little while back and have been waiting patiently for them to arrive. They came yesterday and I am in love! The fit and cut is absolutely perfect. I measured my regular old Levi's at about 35" in the waist, so I went with 33" on these figuring I could stand a bit more snug fit if they stretch to be a little less than that. They are a little snug now but should be perfect with a little wear-in. I only wish there were more 461 varieties being made other than the 9461z (which I plan on getting as soon as I can afford them  :-*).

You should wait for the new ''Boss Cut''-jeans then, they will have a more comfortable top block but remain being a boot cut.

Yeah, you definitely have to get used to the low back rise. I felt like everybody could see my butt-crack everytime I sat down or went to my knees (I had two very young children back when I bought it).

The classic issue with low rise jeans. Still, visible underwear I find more objectionable than some plumbers crack.

I agree, bootcut jeans will always be the coolest (and most comfortable).
I'm hoping for a restock in sz30. Also wondering if sz29 will fit me. My jeans are usually size 29-32. I have apc hipsters which are low rise slightly flared bootcut in sz29 (i also have a pair in sz30 which are way too large). Since their, and some other brands sz29 bootcuts fit much larger (due to the cut and how their worn), where i would fit 30-32 in different cuts same brand, could I fit sz29 461/461s… Although my size 30 666sod are way too small now but they are a super slim bootcut. I also have a pair of IH-801 Duck Logger Pant sz31 which are a little too roomy
