This is my first pair which I have worn a few days a week for the last 3 years. They have been soaked in the bathtub in cold water with Woolite Dark two times I believe but that's it. I have a new pair hanging in the closet.

I have what started as a W-6. I changed some things to make it more what I wanted. I bought an extra solid brass shackle and the knuckles from Japan and added them. Other than that, I eliminated a couple rings here and there and removed a few links of chain. I am really happy with the way it turned out. I've been using it everyday for half a year. It pairs nicely with the Red Moon wallet.
I just got a pair of these the other day. They are my 6th pair of IH jeans. I normally wear a pair of 461 (no S) and a couple pair of 6461Z (for work). These are really similar to those with the biggest difference being the rear rise. The fit is perfect for me! That higher rear rise keeps my boxer shorts from getting all jacked up. I normally have to make sure the band on them is below the band on my jeans or else they start moving up. I am 6'2" and about 145lb and went with the tag 32 measuring 32". My worn in pair, generally about 33" and I can fit into 32 Dickies which measure exactly 32". So, the fit is snug, but not too tight. And when they stretch a little, they will still be really good.
This is also the first time I have had the standard 21oz selvedge denim. I know that sounds kind of crazy but I have the superblack no fade 21oz, standard non-selvedge treated 21oz, and 25oz (and a pair if TW634S in 14oz). This 21oz selvedge feels broken in already compared to the others! It's so soft. Compared to the non-S 21oz, it is a little bit lighter indigo and feels a lot more textured. The weft being more cream colored gives them a different look also compared to the non-S. The non-S almost has a certain sheen to it. It feels really smooth and slick. The selvedge lays real nice right out of the package where the non-S took a long while to really break in and become soft (I know that being stiff was the purpose of the treated non-S 21oz though).
Overall, I love all the different denims in their own way. I can, however, see why the selvedge 21oz has become the standard, flagship denim.

Thanks!! These are my favorite pants, EVER! I only wish they would make the same cut in a different denim. It sucks that only the skinny and straight cuts get all of the really interesting denims. I would kill for a pair in 21 oz OD.

That sucks to hear that they are so terrible to work with. On a better note however, I have been using the HD LP on all my White's for years now and the stuff is amazing! I treat my boots whenever the look like the need it, but mainly just once in the fall and generally again in the midst of winter. It is really great to reseal the edges and the welt stitching. I wipe down new leather laces with it, too, and it helps make them a bit more pliable. Great stuff!
That Red Moon looks fantastic. Any details you can share about it?
The new one looks good too I must say.

I really haven't ever done much to maintain the old one. I have used Obenauf's LP on it about once a year. After it dries, I then brush it. But that's about it. Just used and taken care of the best I can
The new one is already wearing in nicely. It's starting to take on some color now and has flattened out like it should. The only bummer was that I ordered it with a leash attachment but they forgot to add it. Rather than send it back to Japan, I added a brass grommet myself. It is bigger than what they use deliberately, so that it has wider flanges to overlap the leather further and make it stronger. They usually use nickel or chrome, so the brass I used looks much better IMHO. I've also since replaced the oval Red Moon jump ring with a heavier, round brass one.
I recently bought a pair of these. I had a couple different 634's which I didn't get the fit quite right on (a couple of my first IH ventures), so I sold those and went with these instead. This denim is really cool! It reminds me of the 25oz a lot, but is way softer out of the bag. I've worn them about 15-20 times so far and they've already softened up a bunch more lay a lot better. I soaked them in really hot water before I wore them also. I held the hems out of the water though to try to avoid shrinking those. It was mainly the thighs and knees that I wanted to shrink (and the inseam). It turned out real well. The beige weft is a cool touch also. I'll be interested too see how they wear over time.
I just got one of those and it is awesome! This is my first UHF. I bought it from Self Edge. For the price, I couldn't pass it up. For as heavy as it is, it is already really comfortable right out of the box. Luckily, I have another IH flannel that I could measure, so the sizing turned out exactly as I hoped and expected. The color is more blue in person than the photos make it appear. It looks great!
I take really good care of my boots, so these look nice still but have seen a LOT of wear. They'll turn 2 in October I believe. 8" Bounty Hunters, laced to toe in #8 CXL. They're lined and have Vibram 430s and single celastic toe boxes. I loved this particular pair so much that I had another built, same specs except natural CXL and natural edges. I brush every pair every single time I take them off, store them with cedar trees, and usually keep pouches of shredded cedar inside to keep them dry. I treat with Obenauf's LP whenever they look to need it, generally before winter and a time or two during. This pair is well on it's way to needing a resole.
I'm finally retiring my trusty old Red Moon in favor of a new one. I'm really stoked with this one!
It might be a bit before it's patina matches the old one though…

I've been wearing a similar Hollows, but in natural CXL for a little over a year and a half now. It is a great quality, super comfortable piece. I am really happy with mine. The buckle has patina'ed nicely.
