When this arrived, it had clearly taken a drop in transit. The "GILES" stencil I did above, was all it was able to do before it gave up. The card carrier (arrowed on the left) had taken the full force of the drop and was bent in 2 dimensions, it had even popped off the chromed triangular cover on the left hand side. Luckily one of my mates in the yard where our office is, runs a light engineering company. He stuck it it in his 10 ton press a few (12) times and got it to within 4 thou of perfection.
I'm greasing it and rebuilding it atm….

I was about to ask if anyone uses stencils to mark their clothing and found this thread. I was never military but it seems like a fun way to personalize a piece.

@corralitos Giles punched my name into a piece of carboard when I was visiting Gosport. I sprayed that onto one of the pocket bags of my UHR I bought there. I think I have a photo on here somewhere of it but not this thread.
