Ah the Gos Vegas ferry.
I'm still amused by the fact that the ride is so short that my wife didn't notice it had left Portsmouth and docked in Gosport and nearly missed getting off it…
-
Her and @Madame Buttonfly …..
-
I'm still amused by us trying to run to catch the ferry to meet you guys, then playing "spot the bald man" to see if we could see you
-
Yeah that's how i felt when i first moved here @Aetas… now it's an expensive pain in the butt.
Saying that, it is fun taking the ferry with someone for the first time. @PattyCakez loved it at first.
-
I enjoy the ferry…
Just wish I remembered they were return tickets.
-
Such a nice option to have in the IH arsenal…

Got this one inbound. Any idea how to waterproof this jacket? Or… is it necessary at all?
Seriously great jacket.
It is a pretty solid cordura shell so I would be surprised if it let a great deal of moisture through.

Great purchase. I'm looking hard at this myself. I think it's more water resistant than waterproof.

Yes, I'm positive it can resist a drizzle for quite a while, but considering the weather forecast for Germany this might not suffice
If it was cotton I would wax it - which doesn't make sense for nylon I guess. Any ideas?

It's not a rain jacket so don't try to make it one. Nylon is water resistant enough to keep you dry 95% of the time in Germany.
If you want a truly waterproof rain jacket then get one with a membrane such as Gore-Tex or eVent.
