Brewed for Other Half's 3rd anniversary party. Triple dry hopped 10%.

This we really good, which I should have expected, since I usually like Odell's beers. Unfortunately, I didn't buy as many bottles as I should have. Gonna have to track down some more.

Me and a friend brought home an open keg of Gamma Brewing - Ionize (super nice DIPA, https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/gamma-ionize/462617/) to drink with a few other friends. 18,5 l - all gone. It's dangerous to have a super tasty DIPA on tap in your kitchen. God I'm hungover..

That beer gets great reviews,especially for the coffee flavor,as the brewery doubles,or has doubled as a coffee roastery. Supposedly they used bourbon barrel aged coffee beans to brew the coffee they use in the beer. Had bourbon barrel aged coffee beans once and thought it was awful. Basically stale coffee that tasted like an old barrel. What did you think?

It was fantastic, but the taste/ flavour of the bourbon was extremely subdued. The coffee flavor, fruity, only slightly bitter, was just perfect.
All in all a very well balanced beer that you should buy and try if you like coffee, but not if you expect a bourbon barrel aged alike stout…
