On a size 36, what would the hem opening be with the inseam reduced to 32?

I can't get these out of my head?

Phew. After an hour of squats and struggle–I have buttoned all the way up! Promised myself I wouldn't suffer for this pair, but I should've sized up to prevent that. Post-soak fit:

What do y'all think? Should I try to flip these, and size up? Shoothepier, any interest in my 36?

Absolutely not, they look great. I read somewhere (on the slim straight thread?) that there's a decent amount of stretch in this denim. I say keep them and rock them.

Btw, did the waist shrink much?

I think maybe a half inch. It was difficult to button presoak, but required calisthenics, just now

Fuckity-fuck…. it's so tempting. I welched on the pair I scored on release day as I was concerned they'd be too big and wasn't willing to take the risk. Can't stop thinking about them though and waist shrinkage would be great...

Thanks, y'all! I'm gonna give 'em a go. Comfort is usually my number one, so I'll know very quickly if I can hang, or not. Took them off for the evening, as I needed a break. But I'll be back at it, tomorrow!

My wife (and dog) were very intrigued by my buttoning efforts this morning. The glove totally helps, lol.

Thank you for the offer SG. Some unexpected pet costs are going to delay my IH acquisitions for a time. Maybe there will still be a pair around when I'm ready.

Thanks! I hope your pet is okay. These are getting more livable by the minute. I think I'm in jeans-love, again.

Just got mine (holy cow - 2 day International shipping?! Freaking awesome, Iron Heart Team..)

Anyways - mind blown. Measurements are spot on. My 6th pair of IH, and probably going to be my favorite after my 634 ODs. I can't wait to get home and start wearing them. Although not super tight on me, I will attest that the top button was still a mutha to get closed the first time.

I got a 33 and it fits almost identical to my 633 21 oz in 32 if that helps anyone on the fence as I see there's still a 33 left!

I soaked my pair after wearing them for a few days. Did it in the tub, cold, for about 45 minutes. They definitely tightened up a little bit in the thigh and knee, and maybe lost about 1/2" in the inseam. I didn't notice much shrinkage in the waist or rise. They were incredibly stiff when they dried and developed a slightly more hairy texture than they had before. The seams embedded themselves noticeably into the fabric as well. Overall, I could hardly be more satisfied. They are without a doubt my favorite pair of jeans.
