A lot of room in the waist as I expected but overall I like the fit. The thigh is spot on with a little room. Im going to soak them and then the fit should be good!

These are gonna be tight! But I'm going for it, as I'm afraid going up to 38 will be too much in the waist, knee, and hem. Here's some pre-soak fit pics: Into the drink they go!
The denim on these is gorgeous! What a special pair. I wish I had a whole inch more back rise, but I'm gonna try to make em work.

Thanks. Did a luke warm soak for approximately 30 minutes. They're drying right now so maybe some fit pics tomorrow.

How would you guys say the top block fits overall between the tapered and slim fits? There is still 1 in stock in my size in the slim and idk if Giles will get more tapereds in my size. The thigh measurement on my samurais right now is around 10.5" at the crotch seam and I'm looking for a looser fit than that

Absolutely not, they look great. I read somewhere (on the slim straight thread?) that there's a decent amount of stretch in this denim. I say keep them and rock them.

Btw, did the waist shrink much?

Fuckity-fuck…. it's so tempting. I welched on the pair I scored on release day as I was concerned they'd be too big and wasn't willing to take the risk. Can't stop thinking about them though and waist shrinkage would be great...
