Think about it, you want the selvedge side seam, yes.  So how do you vary the taper and retain the selvedge side seam…..

I thought on some cuts you were doing this. So it goes straight down from say 34-37. So for example a 8" hem at 37 is still a 8" hem at 34 as opposed to becoming wider and losing the taper.

No.  I have made some cuts have, let's say 8" cuff at 34", but the taper continues (it has to) to say 37", where the cuff will be a few mm smaller than at 34"

@Giles - I would assume the same way you vary the taper for the rest of the leg and keep the straight slevedge outside seam - by varying the cut/taper on the inside seam. The taper is different from crotch to knee (13" +/-) than from knee to hem, so why not again different (i.e. straight) from 33" +/- to hem? Just curious… Thanks. mpp

Depending on the final measurements I'm planning to grab either the new (lot yet to be announced) cut or a 634.

G, would you consider releasing this cut in the upcoming 21oz. ii? I think that releasing this cut initially in the new denim would probably create a big buzz and create lots of new converts to this cut.  Just a thought.

Where is this new 21oz denim being discussed? Cheers! mpp

The new 21oz is a non-selvedge denim that H is working.  It is designed to be a wabash…....If the bleaching does not work (and H is concerned it may not), then he will consider doing jeans out of it, but (and that is a big but), it is non-selvedge....

Yes, thanks for the info, G. I wish that lack of selvedge weren't a deal breaker for so many, but I understand it is.  I don't really care, but hey.  I know it is pointless to lobby at this point, but these in the new 18oz. Vintage would be killer.
