Groovy!
Thanks @Filthy25ozJunkie.

He and Alex sneaked off to France for a few days of skiing. I'd imagine the problems are less with the equipment and more with the ineptitude of the installer…

If anyone is looking for some accelerated evo on their jeans, attempting to fit snow chains in two-foot deep snow helps, as @Giles can confirm from the pool of indigo he left near the front left tyre of our hire car this morning…
That's so weird I had to deal with snow chains today too. I had to rent some to get inside Sequoia National Park. I rented the smallest tire size because I had no intention on actually using them. What a coincidence. ???

I'm picturing grey tires with red Triple Works W's on the side walls. I held a pair of the Iron Heart socks yesterday and they are insanely awesome. Glad you guys made it okay and are safe.

Surprised by that. I don't think snow chains are even legal on cars in Norway any more due to the damage they do to roads, and to the quality of studded and non-studded winter tyres. Only lorries and trucks over a certain tonnage can have them and even then only when strictly necessary.

My in-laws are insane. They're discussing whether they should drive from Houston back to Las Vegas instead of flying. Why are they considering a 1,500 mile drive, you ask? So he can take his guitar back with him, and it's too expensive to check an extra piece of luggage…
-
whoa… sounds like a good excuse to buy another guitar.

I checked Southwest's baggage policy- you can check a guitar like regular luggage, and they allow two bags for free. So the guitar would cost them nothing to take back versus a three day drive with attendant gas, food, lodging, etc. costs.
All he needs to do is buy a decent hard case for the guitar (which he should have bought years ago anyway).

I got moderated it looks like. I'm sorry if I offended anybody. My bad.
