Looks like it might have been a Fatboy(Front forks, headlight and solid disc rear wheel)or a Deuce(Skinny front tire) at one point, but definitely a softail.

I've never been one for sports bikes but i've changed tack over the last year or so. Saw this on the Honda website and fell in love and swiftly got my heart broken when i found out the price… £138,000

            oh well.

I'm thinking of adding the R nine T to the garage.  My local dealership has a couple 2016's and they took 2k off the price.  I'd prefer the 17 with the adjustable front suspension, but the price savings would be sweet.  I've always wanted an airhead.

The Roland Sands brown seat would be a must.

@Sam the new Fireblade looks really nice. There are also rumours of a "cheaper" Honda V4 sportbike for next year, but it's going to cost an awful low. I've heard £40K or £50K floated.

@summ3rhays a number of R nineT riders have upgraded their bikes using the Wilbers forks and shocks. There are a few threads on forums about it, if you want to go digging.

If I was buying a bike to upgrade, I'd compare the cost of getting a 2016 R nineT with the upcoming Racer. I think that it might work out slightly cheaper, and I know you're a fan of the old Ducati Sports Classic…

That's the prettiest Standard BMW i've ever seen. Couple of iffy styling choices but i could over look those for that fairing. Have they announced the price yet? @Graeme I can't see anything solid on the web

@Sam the BMW Motorrad page for the Racer says it's £10,775. However, you need to budget another £920 for the pornographic polished aluminium tank. 😛

The new range is released a week on Saturday in the UK. Bahnstormer in Alton will be your closest dealer, and they've got a good reputation…

I may have to book a test ride. Have you seen some of the custom R NineT's that the Japanese have done? Holy smokes they're stunning.

It'd be rude to not to take a test ride @Sam. 🙂

I've seen the middle bike, but not the other two.

Rough Crafts built the Bavarian Fistfighter, which I believe ran at the Glemseck 101 sprints last year. That's probably my favourite R nine T to date.

And El Solitario built The Imposter, which is a bit more divisive…

Lastly, this isn't an R nine T, but the BMW Alpha popped up on BikeEXIF earlier, and is completely awesome, if somewhat impractical. 😉

Yeah, I have a Multistrada right now.  I used to ride a Sport Classic.  It was fun and so pretty, but damn uncomfortable.

I really like the brown version of this Roland Sands seat.  With a tail tidy and some bar end mirrors it would be a proper cruise around town bike.  Pretty badass pic too.  haha

Rizoma do some very nice tail tidies for the R nine T. There's a version of the Thruxton model I'm looking at, and another that mounts off the swing arm.

Throw on a set of compact LED indicators and a nice exhaust, along with the Roland Sands seat and bar-end mirrors, and you'd have a cool bike.

But you'd need prisoner pants to get the complete look. 😛
