ordered, sized up one, arrived, washed (machine 95°) and now it's in my daily rotation!
Great shirt, great fabric!how much shrinkage did you get with such a hot wash? i'm asking because i could wear a snugger fit on most of my shirts but i do not want to loose much of the length…

yep, thanks, that's what i thought. so guess i'll stick to my warm hand washing routine.

Lost about 0.5" in lenght

My Charcoal XL arrived today and it fits snug through the shoulders with a very thin merino t-shirt underneath and the upper forearm is a little tight. I could probably use another 0.5-1 inch in the shoulders/chest and the same in the sleeve width. The overall length, sleeve length and waist are spot on though.
I understand that the length will shrink through washing but what about the rest and how much should I expect - shoulders, chest, sleeves, etc.? Do they stretch back out with wear?
Not sure if I should keep or exchange it for an XXL… will depend on feedback to the shrink/stretch questions. Help me Obi-Wan!

The shirt should shrink if you wash or hot in the machine. Depending on how hot you go you'll see more or less shrinkage.(got it on my 101 TG). Up to almost a size with very hot washing. But it's not going to stretch a lot. So, if it's tight in some areas I'd size up and control the shrinkage of the XXL by going slowly hotter until it's right.

Thank you. I will size up to XXL.

Tough one. It won't really shrink with a 30c wash. But if you're unhappy with the fit now and you're anything like me, you won't wear it.
Also any shrinkage will be proportionally more noticeable in the length than the arm, chest and shoulders.
Absolutely correct - it will just languish in the closet.
Kiya at SE got back to me and basically said the same thing - I need to move up a size.

A souvenir from my visit in Gosport. The colour looks brilliant in reality and I think the measurements will be perfect after a few hot washes (which will probably lead to nice aging as well).

Wish I had a burgundy….one of the best colors ever.
