IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo
Inspired by the classic Levi's design from 1962, our modified take on the “Type III” jacket is cut slightly longer in the body, with the addition of hand-warmer pockets — the construction of which also creates two internal storage pockets.
This version is made from our incredibly robust 19oz left-hand twill, woven under extreme tension to produce a dark indigo denim — resulting in one of our toughest Type III jackets to date. As the denim is unsanforized — and unlike our 19oz "lefty" jeans, we don't one-wash this model — it creates a rarity in the Iron Heart lineup: a raw selvedge denim jacket.
Being a raw fabric, this denim is shrink-to-fit and will require time and effort to break in. But trust us, the fade potential on offer here is legendary. View the results of our most recent shrink test here. The jacket our model is wearing in the photographs is raw and unwashed.

Cool. Gotta go home and do some measuring. The first time I inquired about the jacket I think Giles suggested a xxxl. I have a feeling it'll be too big on me now, lost some weight since then. I have a superblack riders jacket in xxl/44 and it's a touch big on me at this point. I also have a uhf in xl and that may be a touch big on me, but not too bad.
When I get home I'll take some measurements and pics, see what we can figure out.

@Tdre977 - these looks very similarly sized as the IHJ-46, which I have. I went Up one size from my "normal" IH size. Im probably a "Large and a Half" in most gear (Large in the 109, XL in 127) and I went with the XXL in the J-46. I, personally, would do the same with this one.
Hope that helps.
Rule of thumb on a tight jacket like this (Type IIIs are meant to be snug) is to measure your best fitting shirt, and add about .5 to the P2P for layering options. If you plan to wear a hoodie or multiple layers underneath, perhaps add .75 to 1" to the P2P. This has always worked for me on jean/trucker type jackets. Heavier IH Jackets and Coats/jackets I usually add .75-1.25 depending on thickness and what I plan to wear under them.
Good luck, this is an amazing jacket.

Ok, so I've done some measurements and picture taking. My IH-9527J riders jacket is a 44/XXL, I'd say the fit is ok on it, perhaps a touch big in the chest/shoulders, but only a little bit, one of the adjustment buttons on the waist is on he tighter button for a more fitted look. I would think an Xl would fit.
Next up is my IHSH-102tg in XL. This shirt is definitely big on me.
Have a shot of a Type I I wear a bunch, measured at 23" p2p and 18.5" shoulders.
I tried on what I think is my best fitting shirt, came in at 21" p2p
Not really looking to layer with this jacket. Just want a nice fitted jacket over a t-shirt or a button down.
What size are we thinking here? Sizing is the most nerve wracking shit for me ever.
After thought…I'm 5'9" about and 150-155 lbs. My IH jeans are a 33 waist.
Thanks guys!

Will this stuff still have the .5" of shrink that the V1 did?
-
Great to see the length on these… 27" on the L is very useful/ versatile [emoji1360][emoji1360]

Wow. Already sold out in a couple sizes.

So the large in the v2 has pretty much the same measurements as my leather jacket but that jacket has lining in it so if I wanna layer the lefty with a hoodie most of the time, would it be wise to size up one and hot soak? or would the large be okay?
-
Yeah thats what I was thinking. Worst case is if I can tell its too big to even hot soak I can return for the large
