I'm sure it differs based on location but, can you reclaim duties paid on a returned item?

Yes, but unless it is a lot of money, I simply would not bother unless your time is worth about 10 cents per hour…...

Well, it's not A LOT of money but, if I am eligible to get the full amount back ($120 CAD) I'd likely be willing to put in the leg work.

I was thinking the other day, since I keep seeing "Raw & Unwashed" profiles pop up more and more, I figured some of the "old timers" could compile their list of "top 5" Iron Heart items that they have/had and enjoy the most. Essentially a "what items does every IH Fan "need" to start their collection, "thread."

Does this already exist?  If not, does anyone else think this is a cool idea?

I don't think there is a top 5 for me. I've loved all the Iron Heart items I've owned over the years, and I honestly believe that what IH do gets better every year.

There are things/ items/ pieces, whatever you want to call them, which I sincerely believe IH do better than anyone else. These would be….

                    Heavy denim
                    Heavy flannels
                    Deck jackets
                    Denim shirts
Variety of denims, which aren't just a bit gimmicky

For me, nobody touches IH on any of the above. The combination of Haraki and Giles means we get Japanese craftsmanship which fits the western build, and that's the winner.

I agree with everything that Megatron said, but my mind was blown by the corduroy on my IHSH-161 western shirt. I've never seen a corduroy fabric that is remotely in the same ballpark as that.

I looked at the extinct section, but didn't see what I was looking for….. Wasn't there some corduroy pants before? I feel like I remember some olive cord pants. If my memory is correct, I need to start trolling for someone to sell me a pair

There were corduroy pants around 2011-2012 I think, which is when I first started looking into IH. They were available in 3 colors, but I never saw them.

You weren't kidding around. I found the form I have the fill out and it requires information that I can't imagine being able to track down on my own. So, I basically have to head to a Boarder Services location and politely ask for help but…they close at 4:30pm during the week and are closed on weekends. lol

actually pretty easy Chris.  When you pay customs or duties on a package CBSC has the form with the amount of taxes customs, ect on it.  On the back side of that form are easy check boxes for filling out.  All you need to do is provide returning shipping info with tracking to show that item has been returned.  Then mail off that form with proof of return shipping and tracking.  then its just the waiting game.  Usually get all your taxes and duties back.  The only money you won't get back are the transaction fees that customs charge which these days is usually 9.95.  PM me if I can help in any other way
