Awesome!  I'm in Alabama, so whenever and wherever that fits.  I'll be sure to post an obnoxious amount of pics 🙂

The tour jean's first experience of the daily grind started today. Regular Thursday means a bit of teaching, lots of office work then a trip to the gym. My home, work, training centre and Alfred's nursery are all with 25 mins walk of each other so I never use the car. You need to dress for the weather though.

Admiring some vertical fading instead of working:

Leaving the gym all layered up. Cold but dry today.

@neph93 the IHJ-37 + Vest = killer combo. I always dreamed one day I could get the Alpaca Deck Vest to wear over mine.

We might want to reconsider the order (when the time comes). I've moved across the country since my leg, and it might save somebody some shipping money if I get them later the second time around.

First weekend with the tour jeans is over. They're the perfect weekend jeans. I work at the local high school and dress code for teachers in Norway is relaxed to say the least. For a boy who came up in Liverpool where suit, shirt and tie is reserved for weddings, funerals and court appearances this is a blessing (What do you call a scouser in a suit? The defendant ;D). Still I reserve my newer denim for work and worn, comfy denim for Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend's project was room painting which is a job I hate. If it doesn't involve sawdust or power tools I'm not happy. So I did the heavy lifting and prepped the room, then looked after Alfred (15 months) while Mrs. Neph did the painting. Winning.

The problem with getting the jeans at this time of year is that outdoor activity with them will be at a minimum. I live about 150km north of the arctic circle which means from early December to early February the sun doesn't make it over the horizon. Seeing as we have a mountain range to the south that effectively means "mørketid" (the dark time) has pretty much arrived. This is the view from my front door at 11am:

At 12.30 pm when the sun was at it's highest:

And at 1.30pm when it has already set behind the horizon:

This is looking westwards at my school at 3pm the same day:

So this is all the sun the tour jeans are going to get:

In other words it's a great time for strong, dark beer. This bad boy came with the jeans and was perfect:

                        Thanks @Megatron1505 .

It can do. It certainly messes with your body clock. I get dog tired in the afternoons and early evenings and weirdly it can get difficult to sleep at night. Some people get fatigued, some people get a bit depressed. It's worse when it's dark and cold, especially before the snow comes when it's just frozen and icy and grim. November can suck, but Christmas helps make December much more cosy. January in to February can be hard but when the sun pops up for the first time in the middle of February it's ace.

On the other hand, it's pretty beautiful as well. There's a weird quality to the light that's always changing. The snow which normally comes in December reflects, moonlight, street light and the little sunlight that creeps over the horizon. You get this time of day called the "blåtime" (blue hour) where everything appears blue and grey: http://www.nordnorge.com/no/?News=132 By the time my four weeks with the jeans are up we'll be completely without sun and "blåtimen" is as light as it gets, so I'll try and get some decent pictures up then.

True story. Although if you really lay one on the night before and sleep until 2pm then you wake up in the dark and that really messes with your head.

So the Jeans are due to make their return to the USA In January 2017. @Brock do you want them 1st?
