There's a reason why that's the most popular cut. They look great on you. I have come around to the 634 cut…it's effortless. I gravitate towards a 31 measured size.

One week, 24 hour wear. I will be giving these another soak tonight. The denim is marvelously crisp, and I want to be kind to the fabric to avoid unnecessary repairs, so another hour in some hot water should help relax things

Almost two months, 4 soaks w/ agitation. They're softening up, so they will go through a complete wash next time around. After that it's wash when dirty as always. The infancy stage with this denim has been so smooth

I received these yesterday and put them through their first soak. Here are some numbers, should this help anyone. Huge thanks to Matt, Giles and Paula for helping select the right pair to order.
These are tagged 33 (I am normally 34 TTS):
Pre-soak:
Waist: 17.2
Thigh: 13.25
Inseam: 35.5
Hem: 9Post-soak:
Waist: 16.75
Thigh: 13
Inseam: 34.5
Hem: 8.9I soaked them for one-hour with no agitation using what I'd characterize as slightly warm water, then let them drip dry overnight. But they fit perfectly.
Pretty damn stiff out of the bag and post-soak, but they are beautiful and dark. I highly recommend them to those on the fence.

I've fondled, handled and worn a lot of IH denim, but I just got a (slightly tapered) pair of these, and my gods are they insane… The only thing I'm scared of, is indigo transfer... It'll be like an indigo version of King Midas' disease - whatever I touch shall turn into indigo... They look like OVERDYED jeans for chrissake... Might wash 'm 250 times before actually wearing them...
