I'm so tempted to get this. The lining doesn't look like it adds too much thickness or "puffiness" which is good. I suppose after lots of wear it compacts even more to the body?

Hi @Engineer - sorry to jump in, but I love my IHV-22 and know it intimately!  The patch pockets are whipcord at the back and lined at the front with alpaca… snuggly!

I got my (new to me) IHV-22 (black) yesterday via eBay.  I must say this is the nicest piece of outerwear I've owned.  The wife likes it so much, she suggested that I buy the khaki version, too.    Pictures to come…
