Saugatuck Neapolitan Milk Stout…this beer is amazing! Cold it's straight chocolate, but as it warms notes of vanilla, then strawberry creep in. Until finally you have a perfect chocolate covered strawberry

Also had a Perrin Blackberry IPA, which is straight juice, no discernible hops. –--Looks like a great beer to use for a beer float. One of the reasons that I wear XXL in IH shirts is beer floats. On a hot summer day nothing beats Left Hand Nitro Milk stout with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I know this might sound crazy(I originally thought so) but it's really good.

          Well I just couldn't wait.

And I'm glad I didn't, this is delicious. They use the same raspberries that they use in Atrial Rubicite for this beer, just toned down a few notches. Perfect farmhouse ale with raspberries, funkiness and hay flavor.
I know it (probably) sounds like I'm biased and that I like JK beers a lot, but the style they put out is just ideal for my tastes. Guess that's why I like the Belgian beers a lot too!

@Broark not biased at all. Good beer is good beer. Simple as that. Let me know when you want to get familiar with some of the Northeast Dank.

Jett, I'm well acquainted with the beer float. I believe the last one I did so with was a Flying Monkey Chocolate Manifesto. I don't see that working as well here. This wasn't bad, by any means, just VERY fruity. The type of thing that's crushable on a 100° summer day

I've had two classified as such, this and Larry's Stupid Quadrupid from Bells. Both are amazing beers! Super hoppy, slightly sweet, a good boozy bite, just amazingly complex and well balanced. It's almost unfair to compare them to other IPAs

Drank this yesterday evening. Simply amazing. Hints of coconut to go with liquorice and coffee. Complex and balanced at the same time. Surprisingly little booze despite being 10ABV.

Amundsen are probably the best Norwegian micro around at the moment. Really skilful, consistent, adventurous brewers.

A bit too acidic for my taste, but not bad by any means.
Wouldn't have wanted a bigger bottle though!

This is more about the glass than the beer, because the beer was good but average. The glass, on the other hand, is really the only one I want to drink out of now.

It is pretty sour, though I thought it a bit less so than the one I drank last night.
