Iron Heart in the Press or on other Sites
-
I have a friend who works for Marvel. His take:
Don't worry:
- Iron Heart came first
- Iron Heart is NOT Ironheart
- Iron Heart is NOT a superhero
- Marvel knows Iron Heart, I believe! In fact they choose to call Riri Williams "Ironheart" in a single word…
- Registered Marvel main characters are about 4500 and every day new ones are added. They cannot claim rights on every word in the vocabulary!
- I don't think Marvel will pursue in U.S.A. ...
-
- Iron Heart is NOT Ironheart
My (admittedly limited) understanding of copyright law and trademarking is mostly connected to the media/entertainment industry and issues of intellectual property, but it leads me to believe that this difference in itself is enough to render possible litigation from either party pointless.

My favorite line:
"Because remember, kids, not all increases in female representation are designed to be empowering." -
Not meant to be a political statement I'm sure.
-
In context, I thought it was pretty funny.

The article would have been better if it were written 5+ years ago… even for mainstream media they are behind.

I was in Waterstones last week. There were 2 books I had not previously seen: Denim Dudes and 1 other, the name of which I forget. @swiss-jeansfreak and @Giles were featured, but I can't remember in which book. They'll go on my Christmas list.
