A more complete picture of the outfit may have helped (or worsened) the impression, suffice to say I'm staying in a beautiful wine valley outside of Xaló, a village on the Spanish hippie trail. Baggy wabash and flip flops combined with linen shirts and a soft hat could be considered conservative by some local standards.
