    @Giles:

    That jacket is the most useful down jacket I have ever had (Paula has 3 - I thinks she's trying for the set…....) Amazingly warm, can compress to virtually nothing and pretty reasonably priced imo....

    Thanks for the info, I have been looking for something similar and this would be great. I love my IHJ-08 but this looks more packable. When we go on our cruise, I plan on wearing a Battenwear primaloft vest under a Topo Mountain Jacket. I hope it works out [emoji1]

      Stumptown coffee today from the deli downstairs, and it's only $1.35 to fill your own mug.  This is probably the best coffee I've ever tasted (seriously).

          @Snowy:

          glad to see bulletproof coffee getting some love. It makes a mess out of the coffee but is a GREAT way to start the day. I really miss it when I travel!

          I just started doing the bulletproof coffee thing. Been on it a week and I feel great. I've been using coconut oil but once I run out I might try the brain octane instead.

              glad to hear someone else is into it. Most people I tell think I'm crazy. But I really notice a difference after just a week. Also I'm only drinking one cup of coffee a day now instead of 3 or 4 cups of regular coffee and with no crash in the afternoon.

                I unintentionally stopped with all the work travel. Time to get back on it! I do notice the difference hugely on vs off still!

                  Part of why I got the Able Kone is that Dave Asprey recommends a metal filter. I cold brew most of my coffee in a French press for the lower acidity but figured I'd give the metal cone a try for when I make pour overs. I've really drunk the bulletproof kool-aid!

                    That bullet proof coffee site looks like one of those pyramid scheme sites. Not hating, just saying.

                      I'm just using bulletproof as a general term for coffee with butter and coconut oil (mct oil etc.). I don't know about the brand bulletproof coffee, I've never tried it.

                        Yeah I never used that brand either.

                          yeah, f' the brand. Just the ingredients. It reminds me a lot of 'official' cross fit and you need the right gear or else it's shite. The coffee they're using here is a joke which just shows what a shame it is. Bit of a cult, but the combination itself of coconut oil and butter is amazing!

                            I put some Great Lakes Gelatine in there too for some decent protein on top of the fats.

                              @spitfiredealer how much butter and coconut oil do you put in how much coffee? I'm doing 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon coconut oil in 10 or 12 oz of coffee. I built up to the 1 tbs coconut oil so it wouldn't upser my stomach. What's your recipe @Snowy ?

                                I eye-ball it mate, no recipe for this :|. I kind of found a happy medium last time where my stomach could handle it and kept increasing the dose over time ::)

                                  Cool just curious. I built up to 1 tbs of coconut oil. Seems fine now. I might go up a little bit.

                                    I go with one heaped tea spoon of coconut oil and then just cut off a lump of butter. Never measured the butter but don't go mad with it.
