IH-9666Z - 21oz Non-Fade Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Superblack

I have seen/used a similar pair. A couple of points. The Tallon zipper is great quality and functions well. Fabric is regular warp and 2-ply weft 21oz and much stiffer that the IH 21oz flagship. This superblack denim doesn't fade which is truly astonishing, this dose not however necessarily make this denim no fuss as this denim shows everything that is not black (think dirty black jeans look) and many things that one wouldn't even know to expect to see after wearing indigo denim. So to keep all black constant washing is necessary and washing the jeans constantly destroys the amazing leather patch. #firstworldproblems This is a very stiff denim and a very warm denim. It will easily stand on it's own even though it is not starched. Overall a good pair, though not the easiest to wear or most comfortable among the IH line-up. Perfect pair for winter riding, clean work, dirty black look, or occasional semi-formal wearing.

Jeans do not get starched.  The starch in the denim is sizing agent (usually starch but not always) that is used during the waving process to reduce friction and reduce the risk of warp breakage.
