Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
@den213:
Or an updated Beatle Busters-cut with slightly bigger thigh and smaller hem.
If my above suggestion doesn't find favour, this would work too. Especially if the rise in 36 waist is close to 11/17

how bad ass would this be?
14oz Indigo Dyed Canvas Duck WITH Wabash Discharge Print made into a Type III with handwarmers.

It's not about finding favour, it's about juggling what scarce resources we have; loom, time, production line time, H and the crew time, storage space and having a small enough range of products that ticks as many boxes as possible. If I polled 100 people and asked them what cut do they think I should make, I'd get 101 answers. I have to make some decisions on how to reduce that 101 into something a little more manageable….

Make what sells, mate, goes without saying. I didn't mean find favour like "do me a favour", just if I was lucky the idea I liked made business sense. There's lots of 'trendy' slim options going at the moment, but not a similarly styled alternative for the bigger boys who don't fit those. Ideally other sporty/highly active/stocky people would have similar needs to me, but maybe I'm not a regular enough shape to demand a killer pair of jeans. You're almost there with a few cuts, just trying like everyone else to nudge you in a certain direction.
By the way, how did the cut of the 634-XHS end up so much roomier in the seat/rear rise than the rest of the 634 family?

I did not know that it had, but if is has, then it will be Tom-san getting her "How will the 25oz fabric behave when made into jeans vis vis the 21oz denim" calculations wrong. Shit happens…

Doesn't seem to be a bad thing judging by the 100+ pages in the thread for that pair, seemed pretty popular! Or perhaps you have to give a bit more room in those things when they're that thick and stiff..

I think 555 is the closest we're gonna get to a cigarette fit from IH. Unless Haraki san miraculously chooses to embrace elastane, Lycra, or spandex.

Made me laugh ^^^ IH denim with stretch… [emoji15]

^^ now, I feel that would /maybe /could upset the purists but I agree it would be denim heaven and a little easier on our curves

I would kill for a flannel, weave wouldn't matter but made of Merino Wool. I think that would be huge. Best wool you can get, don't need a layer or liner because it is so comfy and would be SUPER warm. Or a merino wool/cotton blend.
Have to wonder how hard it is to make a merino wool thicker without losing its properties.
I wear my merino wool long johns all winter and most of fall. Regulates heat with my body, doesn't just keep me warm. Super comfy and doesn't retain smells as much as cotton or man made fibers
Melton wool is great wool for the main/shell but definitely need a liner due to it being itchy as hell.

While I LOVE my double duck LB, ever think of trying your DD with an overdye? I think it would be a out of this world combo!

Also, why never a 634 17oz duck like the devil ducks?
