Dying for an OD type III, but I'm struggling to figure out my sizing on this one. Here's the IH shirts I've got:
IH-78: XL
IH-13ind: XL
IH-101TG: XXLDefinitely want to at least be able to layer an ultra heavy flannel underneath. Don't want to be stuck only being able to fit a t-shirt. Would even like to be able to layer a hoodie underneath. Thinking I should probably go XXXL. The only thing that gives me pause is the arms are super long. I guess I can cuff?
I've got a Flat Head 6002W in 44 that fits but is very small for me in the waist/opening/length. I think I'm answering my own question here and should go w/ the XXXL…

I post like this when I'm unsure.I size as you do (XL in most shirts, XXL if they come up a little small) and I took an XXL in this. I wanted to wear it with just a tee or tee and a shirt. I can squeeze it on over a tee and an UHF.
Never tried a hoodie but I'd struggle I think. Maybe a thin one, but not an IH one. So, yeah XXXL might be the one if the hoodie thing is the way you want to go.
I have to flip the cuffs on mine anyway, but a good tailor/seamstress will be able to take them off and shorten the arms, then re-attach the cuffs.
It's an amazing jacket. The way it ages is unique. Good luck.

Did you find that the arms "shortened" a bit after wearing it and letting the combs settle?
The style I see the younger 20-somethings around here seems to be going a bit oversized with a jean jacket.
Think I've talked myself into an XXXL. Just gotta gather some funds together.

Just measured on my XXL. You'll lose 2" by flipping the cuffs. I actually like it like that.

Not really. I find that while the combs wear pattern is visible and developing, the combs themselves drop out overnight. They form up in the same pattern again, but they don't take up any length.

Just gimme a shout if you want me to measure the XXXLs we have available, there might be some variance in the sleeve length.

Better pics to come, but just wanted to brag about my perfect fit. This is XXXL. I'm gonna be cremated in this thing. The arms aren't nearly as long as the measurements would make you think. And the cuffs are fairly slim so they don't flop over my hands. I should be able to layer at least a UHF under this. Also, though I would love pockets I wouldn't want it to be any longer than this.

great fit @setandsetting ! I love how versatile OD tops are. They are "black" when you want to pair them with denim, and the perfect hint of blue when paired with denim alternatives. Congrats on a great purchase.

My buddy Zhivago stopped by with this new badboy tonight. Damn! This is THE jacket to have. There is no way I can afford one right now, but if I could it would easily be my most worn item ever.
And to think, he's had his for like 2 days and is already working it (literaly)…

This is my first IH jacket. I wear XL in the IHSH-78 and IHSH-13ind. And XXL in the IHSH-101TG. I'm about 6'-6'1", 195 lbs. if that helps.
This jacket is awesome BTW. 4 wears and already some blue peeking out on the arm combs.
