Can someone get Haraki a cook or something? His Instagram food pics are horrifically depressing

Totally agree! Those toast pics 🙂 must be a Japanese thing.

            Yes. Yes it is.

G, am I correct by assuming that all IH-loomstate-bottom-denims are made slightly oversized so they can shrink to the measurements a sanforized/washed model would have?

If so, what is the best procedure to shrink/soak those denims (cold, lukewarm, warm, hot?) to achieve the best results for the fit and the denim itself?

We aim to make them shrink to tag, BUT the problem is that different washing methods create a different amount of shrinkage.  Indeed, typically North Americans see more shrinkage than Europeans who see more shrinkage than Japanese.

Why do trucker vests have pocket, but trucker jackets don't?

imho the Type III is also called Trucker Jacket and has still Pockets (Breast/Side/Internal) 😉

As far as I am concerned, if a Type III has pockets, it's a trucker….

No, a trucker is a Type III with pockets.  Sorry to be pedantic, but the Type III came first, the trucker is a later derivative….

So.. In my stockroom/ level floor cellar, I have no light… No electricity either, everything's been cut (to prevent from tenants using the built-in airco I assume)...

I've bought a LED searchlight but I need something that provides much more light... This is kinda cool but not sufficent either: http://www.light11.nl/Marset/FollowMe.html

Anyone have any ideas here?.. It's a small room, under 10m²...

want to leave the light down there?

Use a car or caravan battery and a fluorescent strip light designed for a caravan.

I'm a total boot noob! I wear Adi Dasslers finest three stripes whenever I can, then I've got an old pair of generic steel caps for working in and an old pair of donated hunting boots for hiking/cabin trips and so on. The only casual boots I've got is a pair of black, lined Clarks that cost about $200 that I've had for autumn/winter use the last three years.

I'm painfully aware that I need to up my boot game. I'm not quite ready to splurge $800 on some of the badassery available here. I'm just not sure I love boots that much (yet). So I'm thinking something more "entry level" that cost around $400, like Red Wings or Wolverines. They need to be able to tackle rain and not be useless in ice and snow. Lining isn't a must as woollen socks are boss.

Here's the question: Based on the above, which boots should I buy?

                                          «Stevie Heighway on the wing!
We had dreams, and songs to sing…»
