It's probably best as a summer evening beer, but to be honest it's boozy enough and sophisticated enough to be drunk whenever. Expensive though.

Starting to get into sour brewing and some more "research" is in order…

Seul dropped a load of knowledge on me in the spring/summer. I've had loads of fun tasting/necking all sorts as a result. My advice, try everything. But in the end, Gueze Tilquin is the dogs bollocks, if you can get hold of it.

I know this is like the  3rd time  this summer I've posted this beer, but fekk it.

Summer's raised it's sexy head for one last hurrah. It's 25 C and I'm 150km north of the arctic circle. Kids and wife are out and I have Gueze Tilquin. Shoot me now, because it will probably never get better this. Cheers guys, and thank you Belgium (and Seul).

Really? I thought Systembolag was at least as well stocked as Vinmonopolet. There's a pretty good selection at my local and an excellent selection on line.

Yes and no. Lambics and sours in general are kinda booming atm, so most often they're simply all out. 3 Fonteinen is the only regular one at Systembolaget, that I know of. Never tried it. Something tells me I'd really enjoy one!

Ahh… now I understand.  3 Fonteinen is definitly one of the good ones.

I was sceptical at first but love Gueze now. Although it's very much a summer beer for me.
