Yeah, I'm just trying to hold on until some relief presents itself. Surrounding myself with friends and staying busy seems to help. Tough times…..never understood depression until now.

Depression sucks, and people who've never suffered from it really don't get it. 😞

Yeah, friends and busy is a good plan. Good luck with it all, mate. The clouds WILL clear away sometime.

You're right, but I can understand why people find it difficult. I suspect many perceive a bad knee as an unfortunate injury, while a mental condition is seen as a weakness. I think this can make it much trickier to admit to yourself, let alone others.

In addition to which, it's easy to be confident that bad knees can be easily, mechanically fixed. Fixes for stuff in the mind - especially while you're stuck in the middle of it - can be a lot harder to believe in.

                                  1. Father being diagnosed as Cancer free.

                                  2. Dealing with the preceding issues arising from the above, including being pretty bloody depressed and not dealing with it as a result of focusing my energy on supporting those around me.

                                  3. One of the founding Partners leaving my Employer, which has implemented many positive changes in the business.

                                  4. Being promoted.  Now one step below Partner and am four years younger than the other two people at my level.

                                  5. Passing the Graduate Diploma in Law whilst holding down a stressful, demanding job.  Good going considering its renowned as being a pretty fucking hard degree. As a result I'm now: BA(hons) MSc GDipLaw MRICS ACiarb.

                                  6. Reassessing my friendship group as a result of many changes in life.  Separating the wheat from the chaff.  Many people that I have supported over the years vanished when times were tough.  They can go fuck themselves.  I am very lucky to have some incredibly close friends who I consider to be family.

                                  7. Growing into becoming a father.

                                  8. Finding out that Im going to be a father again.

Change is awesome.  Overcoming adversity is even better.

I ain't got time to bleed.
