      Regarding the maroon/cream flannel

      (1) Does it have an approximate release date?
      (2) Can it be reserved via the form even though it doesn't have a number?

@DrPat I think I saw somewhere on another thread that it was coming in January?  Not positive on that.  I'll let @Giles confirm and answer question 2.

I can't even remember what is International only any longer.  Got lost in the mists of time.  We are getting most things on the list.  That's as much as I know without spending ages on the exercise and anyway, I like surprises too…..

We are getting the parka, though given the amount of interest it has provoked, probably not enough of them….

Might just as easily have been listed as a Westlen or Westeln shirt (ROR!)  Few years ago, Giles and I were intrigued at prospect of new "omble" fabric - until we realised it was an ombre check.  The Japanese confusion between R and L still fascinates me (but please don't think this is mocking, I am totally in awe of our Japanese colleagues' ability to communicate so brilliantly in both spoken and written English).

Haha, that comment made me raugh outo roud!!  😉

My Japanese mum used to recommend me to find my local "foot-rocker" if I wanted to get some fashionable sneakers.  Months passed before I realised she had meant the "Footlocker" store…

Hi, I have a linguistics minor and can explain this.

L and R do not have what is called a "significant phonetic value" in Japanese. In Welsh there are two ways of saying "L." English have words with both sounds, but we wouldn't notice if someone transposed them. An example in English of a different sound without a significant phonetic value difference:

                                    This
                                    Thistle

In "this" the "th" sound is vocalized. Your voicebox rumbles. In "thistle" your lips, teeth and tongue all do the exact same thing as in "this," but your voicebox is mute. If I said "this" with the "th" from "thistle" (or vice-versa), it might sound a little strange, but you probably wouldn't notice in every day speech and you've probably actually done this hundreds of times without noticing. "L" and "R" also have very similar physical ways of being vocalized and, getting back to the beginning, are about as different as the two "th" pronunciations to a native Japanese speaker.

                                    Interesting.
